Cee-Bee Innovative Maritime Chemistry
Cross-section of pipework restricted by heavy scale build-up

Vacuum toilets · descaling programme

Keep every toilet in service while the system descales itself

A dosing unit at the end of the main vacuum line feeds scale remover gel into the pipework continuously — at sea, in port, without taking lines out of service.

01Point 01

Toilets stay in service

The programme runs while the vessel sails. No lines taken out of service, no interior dismantled to reach the pipework.

02Point 02

Mild acid, protected materials

A mild formulation with corrosion inhibitors safeguards pipes, seals and components — where aggressive descalers damage them.

03Point 03

Treatment biology intact

Scale is removed without disrupting the biological processes inside the vessel's sewage treatment system.

Pipe sections almost closed by mineral scale build-up
Conventional descalers do more than remove urine scale — their aggressive acids attack pipelines, seals and components too.

The problem

Scale narrows the line long before it blocks it

Mineral deposits build up inside vacuum toilet pipework and gradually restrict flow. Locating and removing the eventual blockage is difficult, and often means dismantling parts of the vessel's interior to reach the pipelines — system downtime, costly repairs and considerable inconvenience on board.

Periodic cleaning is the conventional answer, but it takes entire toilet lines out of service. Disconnected pipelines filled with diluted acid create a risk of leakage and material damage; circulating in a closed loop is more effective but still requires downtime and still exposes seals and components to aggressive chemicals.

The programme

Dosing equipment and chemistry, matched to the number of toilets

Honey Bee MR 120 Scale Remover Gel is introduced through a dosing unit installed at the end of the main vacuum pipeline. The dose is calculated from the number of connected toilets — 480 ml per day per 10 toilets.

Cee-Bee Digital Dual Dosing Unit

01Dosing

Cee-Bee Digital Dual Dosing Unit

Two solenoid valves

Simulates a flush to carry the gel through the entire pipe, moving slowly through the toilet system.

  • Installed at the end of the main vacuum line
  • Dose set by number of connected toilets
  • Robust construction for industrial conditions
  • Safe, portable and easy to install
Honey Bee 120MR Scale Remover Gel

02Descaling

Honey Bee 120MR Scale Remover Gel

Gel-structured descaler

Adheres along the full length of the pipe instead of running straight through it.

  • Mild acid with corrosion inhibitors
  • Long contact time from the gel structure
  • Protects pipes, seals and components
  • Leaves sewage treatment biology intact
Cee-Bee Toilet System Cleaner

03Prevention

Cee-Bee Toilet System Cleaner

Daily-use cleaner

Controls scale in the bowl, the vacuum valve and the downstream pipework.

  • Removes hard water and urine scale
  • Anti-bacterial bowl cleaning
  • Thick consistency clings to inner surfaces
  • Reduces the risk of blockages

Procedure

How the programme runs

  1. 1

    Survey

Count the connected toilets and locate the end of the main vacuum line.

  2. 2

    Install

Fit a Dual Dosing Unit or Eco Dosing Pump — portable, no interior dismantled.

  3. 3

    Dose

480 ml of scale remover gel per 10 toilets, every day, automatically.

  4. 4

    Maintain

Regular Toilet System Cleaner keeps bowl, valve and pipework clear.
