Who we are

Trusted from bow to stern

Cee-Bee Innovative Maritime Chemistry is part of MerchINTs Cleaning & Services BV, in collaboration with McGean USA. Together they provide advanced solutions for ship cleaning, inspection and overhaul services.

The mission is unglamorous and specific: bring peace of mind to vessel operators by making maintenance consistent, efficient and environmentally sound. By combining chemistry with innovation, Cee-Bee extends the lifespan of ship components and minimises the downtime an inspection or a cleaning costs.

How we got here

Ninety-five years of specialty chemistry

McGean is a privately held specialty chemical company headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, with operations across the world — a global leader in chemical technology for aviation maintenance and a trusted supplier of specialty maritime chemicals.

  1. 1929

    Aviation chemistry

McGean begins formulating industrial chemistry in Cleveland, Ohio. Its Cee-Bee Laboratories division becomes a pioneer in aircraft cleaning and surface treatment.

  2. 1950s–

    Manufacturer approvals

Cee-Bee products earn approvals from leading aircraft manufacturers and regulatory authorities, establishing a lasting position in maintenance, repair and overhaul.

  3. 2000s

    Into the maritime sector

Over 25 years of experience cleaning and maintaining vacuum toilet systems shapes the Cee-Bee maintenance programme for vessels.

  4. Today

    A modern partnership

McGean's chemical innovation and MerchINTs Cleaning & Services' operational expertise combine as Cee-Bee Innovative Maritime Chemistry, supplying fleets worldwide through a global dealer network.

Innovation

Two industries, one laboratory

The partnership between McGean USA and MerchINTs Cleaning & Services BV combines American technology with European expertise, and has enabled the introduction of advanced cleaning systems for both the maritime and aviation industries.

Cee-Bee's Honey-Bee Vacuum Cleaning System changed how aircraft and vessel toilet pipelines are maintained — keeping them smooth, sanitary and efficient under continuous use. Its aviation and maritime divisions remain among the most trusted in the world, with strategic alliances and subsidiaries in Asia, Europe and North America.

Quality & sustainability

Environmental awareness is a formulation decision

All cleaning agents and processes comply with strict international maritime standards and focus on non-toxic, biodegradable formulations.

01Principle

Non-toxic by formulation

Cleaning agents are built around biodegradable, non-toxic chemistry that complies with strict international maritime standards — not around aggressive acid that happens to work.

02Principle

Material safety first

Corrosion inhibitors protect pipes, seals and system components. Cleaning restores capacity; it should never shorten the life of the equipment it runs through.

03Principle

Biology left intact

Descaling products remove scale without disrupting the biological processes inside the vessel's sewage treatment system.

04Principle

Efficiency as emission control

A clean heat exchanger transfers heat at spec. Restoring capacity cuts energy consumption and operating cost as directly as it cuts downtime.

Where the programmes run

Fleets that cannot afford an unplanned shutdown

Naval, ferry and offshore operators where safety, environmental responsibility and reliability are non-negotiable.

Royal Netherlands Navy

Toilet systems · heat exchangers · fuel lines

On naval vessels the toilet system, heat exchangers and fuel lines are under constant load and temperature swing. Cleaning has to be thorough and controlled — and safe for equipment, crew and the environment at the same time.

Doeksen Ferry Service

Vacuum toilet maintenance programme

Intensive passenger use makes urine scale, odour and blockages a daily risk. A structured cleaning and maintenance programme keeps comfort, hygiene and operational reliability where they need to be.

Offshore · grease, scale, oil and fuel residue

A controlled, sustainable cleaning programme removes grease, urine scale, oil and fuel residue without damaging materials or systems — biodegradable, safe for personnel, and compliant with strict offshore environmental requirements.
