What it does
Non-corrosive liquid descaler that dissolves barnacles, marine growth and mineral scale in situ.
GreenBioClean Barnacle Remover is an environmentally responsible, safe-to-use liquid descaler developed to remove barnacles, marine growth and mineral deposits from cooling systems — heat exchangers, boilers and cooling pipelines.
Scale and marine growth reduce the efficiency of heat exchangers significantly, particularly in systems using seawater for cooling or firefighting. Removing the accumulated deposits restores flow and heat transfer, improving equipment efficiency while cutting downtime and maintenance costs.
Key points
- Works without heating or high pressure
- Cleans in situ, down to the original surface
- Safe on metals, rubber and plastics
- Fully biodegradable
Safe on
- Steel
- Iron
- Copper
- Plastics
- PVC
- Rubber
- Other metals
How it works
Chemistry, not pressure
Deposits are dissolved through a chemical reaction rather than by high pressure or flow velocity, which removes the need for a high-capacity pump. The product is simply circulated through the heat exchanger or piping system — no heating required, and only minimal equipment.
Procedure
How it is used
- 1
Step 01
Connect the circulation unit to the exchanger or pipe section.
- 2
Step 02
Circulate the product in a closed loop — no heating, no high pressure.
- 3
Step 03
Deposits dissolve down to the original surface within a few hours.
- 4
Step 04
Neutralise, flush and return the system to service.
